Developments in Belleville are creating a dynamic urban landscape across the city. We're all about staying on top of the shifting landscape, so we’ve put together a snapshot of the latest planning applications and developments in Belleville and the surrounding areas.
A proposal has been made to rezone and construct a nine-story mixed-use building at 25 Campbell Street. This visionary project combines residential and commercial spaces, contributing to the holistic development of Belleville. You can read more details here.
The application to rezone 363 Front Street that was submitted, has been delayed while Mark Roshotte, owner of the adjacent building, works with Cento Commercial to find a proposal that is agreeable to both. The plan is to transform the ground floor into a residential space while preserving the commercial unit facing Front Street. We are looking forward to seeing something beautiful and interesting built on this downtown corner!
Macauley Shiomi Howson Ltd. has revised the proposal for the Hanley Park North Subdivision. Originally designed for 156 dwelling units, the updated plan now offers 74 single-detached and 29 townhouse units while preserving the natural heritage and adding open spaces for parks and walkways. There are a lot of mixed opinions regarding this development.
The plot at 174 Maitland Drive is undergoing a makeover. The plan is to change its official land use from commercial to residential. It will feature a mix of 36 single-detached dwellings, 23 townhomes, and 38 back-to-back townhome units. Plus, there will be spaces dedicated to a stormwater pond and recreational open areas. The goal is to create a harmonious blend of residential units and open spaces, enhancing the diversity of Belleville's residential neighborhoods. Stay tuned for more details.
A city-initiated amendment is underway to pave the way for new fairgrounds, an industrial park, and a stormwater management facility at this location. It’s a significant step towards enhancing community facilities and infrastructure.
Stay tuned for more updates as we remain your trusted partner in the evolving real estate landscape of Belleville, Prince Edward County, Trenton, Brighton, Napanee, Bay of Quinte, Quinte West, and the surrounding regions.
